A Bit About Us
Our History
JD’s Arms & Munitions began in August of 2021, and since our first day we’ve brought the best selection of products and merchandise to our customers. We do our best to ensure an exceptional variety of fantastic items along with unique limited editions to fit any budget. We are not a "browsing" type of store, as most of our items are ordered to the customer's request and specifications. We do usually stock some modern sporting rifles and a couple of home defense shotguns. We are Glock certified armorers and dealers and installers for HiperFire Trigger Systems, and KaliKey bolt action AR systems (no semi-automatic rifle permit required), as well as site-approved transfer dealers for many different websites.
We sell to both Law Enforcement Officers as well as Civilian enthusiasts. We offer all our products in full compliance with Federal and New York State laws.

2022 and 2023
NYS Law Changes
As of September 4, 2022 and Now, September 13, 2023
How do the new NYS semi-automatic rifle laws affect JD's Arms and you as the customer? Beginning on September 4, 2022, NYS has changed the requirements to purchase a semi-automatic rifle (of any caliber). You as the consumer must first obtain a NYS semi-automatic rifle purchase license to purchase ANY semi-automatic rifle (AR style or hunting rifle). It is the same process as obtaining a pistol permit. You must fill out the paperwork from your county Sherrif's department or other issuing authority and follow the requirements. HOWEVER, if you already have a NYS Pistol Permit, you simply have to fill out an amendment form to add the "semi-automatic rifle purchase" to your existing permit, you do NOT need to get an entirely new license. Once you have obtained this new license, you may purchase a Safe Act compliant semi-automatic rifle and do NOT need to register it. As of September 13, 2023, NYS has changed the requirements to purchase ammunition as well. You must now pass a NYS NCIC background check. Ammunition shipments must now go to an FFL as part of the new laws. We accept these shipments as well.
** Current law enforcement officers are NOT exempt from this requirement, with one exception: If you want to purchase what NYS considers an Assault Rifle, you do not need to obtain this permit. **

As a Federal Firearms Licensee and a New York State certified dealer and gunsmith, we are available to complete private sale transfers, as well as sales and special orders of firearms and commercially produced ammunition and self-defense spray.
